Dr. Rajesh Ahlawat has over four decades of expertise and is known across the world for his work in minimally invasive urology and renal transplants. He graduated from King Georges’s Medical College with an MBBS and an MS in general surgery. After that, he pursued his Mch (Urology) at the esteemed AIIMS College. Dr. Rajesh Ahlawat’s areas of specialization include robotic urology, laparoscopic urology, endo-urology (PCNL) for the upper tract, and renal transplantation.At the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, the Fortis Hospitals in New Delhi, and Medanta – The Medicity in Gurugram, he is recognized for creating high-volume urology and renal transplant programs. Dr. Ahlawat is a skilled endourologist, robotic surgeon, and laparoscopic surgeon who invented the first robotic kidney transplant (RKT) with regional hypothermia. Dr. Ahlawat, a teacher and academic at heart, started the M.Ch. and D.N.B. programs in urology training at all prior institutions in his organization. He has received several honors throughout his career.
