She received her MBBS from the University of Calcutta, India in 1992, and went on to complete three fellowships in London, Canada, and Edinburgh. Dr. Ray has made significant contributions to the field, being the first Indian glaucoma specialist to perform minimally invasive glaucoma surgery in angle closure disease, among other achievements.
